It has simply the best feature set and interface. Plus its own mapping and photo services. It is quick and easy and has spread like wildfire through the Twitter community getting an added bonus from celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan.

 It shows you what looks like a YouTube video asking you to upgrade your Flash player but instead it installs .exe programs. When you log into your Twitter account, it starts tweeting out the virus. The links containing the virus are called “my home video”.

Camtweet is a side project of Justin.tv and will allow this. It will have a big live video box in the center and a chat box below where people can chat to you while watching your live stream.

If it attracts some big Twitter accounts to join- it will be huge….

The account @britishmonarchy will be run by both Clarence House and Buckingham Palace and will include updates of official engagements and what members of the Royal Family are up to.

Sadly individual members will not be tweeting….:)

Tweetmeme: [@tweetmeme] is an authority when it comes to retweeted URLs and stories.

Tweetmeme tracks the most popular links on Twitter. Once a link receives enough retweets, it appears on the front page of Tweetmeme.

Tweetmeme can also be broken down by categories (i.e. sports, entertainment, technology). So each day you can quickly scan what the most popular stories people are talking about are. It is a great wait to quickly ascertain trends, what’s hot and what’s not.

If you are smart- you will retweet other people good posts. As ideally you want your own good content to be retweeted as much as possible to get your messages out there.

It’s important to know how to do this properly as a form of “Twitiquette” (Twitter Etiquette) especially when you’re new to Twitter.

Here’s how retweet works…

Let’s say someone makes a great tweet:

@joebloggs: The highest form of compliment on Twitter is the retweet.

If you think that someone’s tweet is so interesting and remarkable, you might retweet it to share it with others.

You would start with RT (retweet) then @ followed by the name of the original tweeter, such as:

RT @joebloggs The highest form of compliment on Twitter is the retweet.

If you don’t put RT before the @name, you will only reply to the named person, and it’s likely that only they will see your message.

Sometimes, creating your own “Retweet” can be more personal than putting a RT in the front. For example:

Check out @joebloggs site – he’s at it again – http://tinyurl.example

Then, assuming someone else sees the retweet and wishes to pass it further, they would slap another @name into the retweet chain like so.

RT @janesmith @joebloggs The highest form of compliment on Twitter is the retweet.

Since a retweet is a form of approval, it is common courtesy to thank someone who retweets you. They are advertising you and your work for free and that should be appreciated.
